Use of Literary Devices throughout Ray Bradbury’s â€Å"The Veldt† Ray Bradbury’s personal life encounters and his use of universal literary devices throughout â€Å"The Veldt† accentuate his frequent themes involving fear and harmful innovation. Bradbury’s life experiences, such as living during World War II, also played a major roll in his fearful theme decisions and sadistic writing style. Bradbury incorporates multiple literary techniques into â€Å"The Veldt† including: metaphors, foreshadowing, irony, imagery, personification, a simplistic writing style, allusions, and symbolism.
